Press Report Holi Special Assembly at Solan Public School.
To Celebrate the occasion of "Holi" Solan Public School organised a special assembly on 9th March, 2020. Ms. Nisha Thakur, the school hindi teacher explained the importance and significance of celebrating holi and advised to make it a day to rededicate ourselves in the service of society. The students of the school presented a skit to show the reason behind celebrating holi.
The girls of the school presented the different colours of women by dressing up as various women achievers throughout history till the present day such as Laxmibai, Indira Gandhi, Sania Nehwal, Kiran Bedi to name a few. The school Managing Director Ms Preetee Kumar wished for a joyous and safe holi to everyone and insisted on celebrating an eco friendly holi. The school Head Mistress Ms. Kiran Sharma praised the student's performance and informed that the performance like these help in mental and physical development of the students. The teachers, staff and students played holi with eco friendly colours.

आज सोमवार 9 मार्च को सोलन पब्लिक स्कूल ने होली उत्सव की विशेष सभा का आयोजन किया जिसमें शिक्षकों ने बच्चों को होली के महत्व पर भाषण दिया । बच्चों व शिक्षको को होली की बधाईयाँ दी और होली की मस्ती की। कार्यक्रम में नर्सरी से लेकर कक्षा आठ तक के बच्चों ने रंगों के पर्व पर सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम प्रस्तुत किए। वहीं सोलन पब्लिक स्कूल में जूनियर व सीनियर विंग में लड़कियों के लिए फैंसी ड्रेस प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया गया। जिसमें स्कूल के लड़कों को प्रतिभागियों के कैरेक्टर से संबंधित कुछ बातें सामने रखनी थी। रंग-बिरंगी पोशाकों में लड़कियां अलग-अलग किरदारों को निभाते दिखाई दी ।
बच्चों ने ऐतिहासिकता को दर्शाने के लिए ,लक्ष्मीबाई, इंदिरा गांधी, सानिया नेहवाल, किरण बेदी। डॉक्टर आदि विषयों के अभिनय में नजर आए। स्कूल के प्रबंध निर्देशिका सुश्री प्रीति कुमार ने कहा कि बच्चों को अपनी छुपी प्रतिभा को इस प्रकार के प्रतियोगिता में दिखाना चाहिए तभी बच्चों का विकास चहुमुखी तक होगा तथा उन्होंने बच्चों को होलिका दहन और होली का इतिहास व महत्व के बारे में जानकारी दी कहा कि होली आपसी, सद्भावना और प्यार का पर्व है इसे प्यार और सुरक्षित तरीक़े से खेलना चाहिए और ईको फ्रेंडली होली मनाने पर जोर दिया ।प्रधानाचार्या श्री मति किरण शर्मा ने बाल प्रतिभाओं की प्रशंसा करते हुए कहा कि प्रतियोगिताओं में प्रतिभाग करने से छात्राओं की शारीरिक और मानसिक प्रतिभा का विकास होता है, अंदर छिपी प्रतिभा निखरकर सामने आती है।इस तरह की गतिविधियां विद्यार्थियों के सर्वांगीण विकास में अपनी अहम भूमिका निभाती है तथा कहा कि होली आपसी भाईचारे का प्रतीक है। सांप्रदायिक सौहार्द बनाए रखना एवं आपसी गिले-शिकवे दूरकर पर्व मनाना चाहिए। उन्होंने सभी को सुरक्षित होली खेलने के बारे में सभी को जागरूक किया।

"Pinkwalk organised by Solan Public School"
On the occasion of "International Women's Day" Solan Public School organised a "Pinkwalk". The teachers, students along with citizens of Solan town walked from Old DC Office to School Campus. There were banners of women empowerment all along the route. All the participants walked the route with great enthusiasm. The walk was supported by the district administration and the Solan police personnel.
At the school campus the gathering was treated with song and dance items by the students. Ms. Twinkle from SJ dancing academy also gave a powerful dance performance and also dedicated a poem to women's cause. The former in-charge of Regional Ayurvedic Hospital Solan Dr. Anita Gautam spoke on the occasion highlighting the role women play in the society and the need for women to take care of their health. She also taught different yoga moves which can be done to reduce stress and body ailments. The school Counsellor Ms Anita spoke about the reasons for depression in women and how to counter them. Mr. Satyen founder of Shiksha Kranti appreciated the initiative taken by the school to grow awareness about women related issues. The school Managing Director Ms Preetee Kumar emphasised on the need of changing the mindset of society and giving equal opportunities to both genders so that the girls can soar to newer heights. She said the purpose of organizing "Pinkwalk" is to generate awareness on the growing problem of cancer in society in general and women in particular. The event ended on a high note with dance steps taught by the school dance teachers.

सोलन पब्लिक स्कूल ने "अंतर्राष्ट्रीय महिला दिवस" बड़ी धूमधाम से मनाया। इस अवसर की मुख्य विशेषता यह रही कि इसमें सोलन पब्लिक स्कूल ने"पिंकवॉक" का आयोजन किया। जो कि सच में एक नई पहल थी। पिंकवॉक ओल्ड डी०सी० ऑफिस से शुरू हुई और सोलन पब्लिक स्कूल के प्रांगण में संपन्न हुई । पिंकवॉक का आरंभ प्रात: काल 7:30 से स्कूल की प्रबंध निर्देशिका श्री मति प्रीती कुमार व स्कूल की प्रधानाचार्या श्री मति किरन शर्मा के नेतृत्व से हुई । सोलन शहर के नागरिकों के साथ शिक्षक, छात्र ओल्ड डीसी ऑफिस से स्कूल कैंपस तक गए। पूरे रास्ते में महिला सशक्तीकरण के बैनर लगे थे। सभी प्रतिभागियों ने बड़े उत्साह के साथ मार्ग का भ्रमण किया। सभी पिंक वस्त्र में थे । इस पिंकवॉक का जिला प्रशासन और सोलन के पुलिस कर्मियों ने समर्थन किया।
स्कूल कैंपस में छात्रों द्वारा गीत और नृत्य ने सभा में सभी का मन मोह लिया। स्कूल की प्रबंध निर्देशिका श्री मति प्रीति कुमार ने समाज की मानसिकता को बदलने और महिलाओं तथा पुरुषों को समान अवसर देने की आवश्यकता पर जोर दिया, ताकि लड़कियां नई ऊंचाइयों पर पहुंच सकें तथा बोला इस पिंकवॉक का उदेश्य केंसर के बचाव के प्रति जागरूक करना है । केंसर से पीड़ित महिलाओं की संख्या बढ़ रही है आज लोगों को इस बारे में शिक्षित किया जाये । क्षेत्रीय आयुर्वेदिक अस्पताल सोलन की पूर्व प्रभारी डॉo अनीता गौतम ने इस अवसर पर समाज में महिलाओं की भूमिका पर प्रकाश डाला।उन्होनें इस अवसर पर समाज में महिलाओं की भूमिका और महिलाओं को उनके स्वास्थ्य की देखभाल करने की आवश्यकता पर प्रकाश डाला। साथ ही अलग-अलग योगासनों को भी सिखाया जो तनाव और शारीरिक बीमारियों को कम करने के लिए किया जा सकता है। एसजे डांसिंग अकादमी से सुश्री ट्विंकल ने एक शक्तिशाली नृत्य प्रदर्शन दिया और महिलाओं के लिए एक कविता भी समर्पित की। स्कूल काउंसलर सुश्री अनीता ने महिलाओं में अवसाद के कारणों और उनका मुकाबला करने के तरीके के बारे में बताया। शिक्षा क्रांति के संस्थापक श्री सत्येन ने महिलाओं से संबंधित मुद्दों के बारे में जागरूकता बढ़ाने के लिए स्कूल द्वारा की गई पहल की सराहना की। स्कूल के प्रबंध निदेशक सुश्री प्रीति कुमार ने समाज की मानसिकता को बदलने और दोनों लिंगों को समान अवसर देने की आवश्यकता पर जोर दिया, ताकि लड़कियां नई ऊंचाइयों पर पहुंच सकें। स्कूल डांस शिक्षकों द्वारा सिखाए गए डांस स्टेप्स के साथ ही यह कार्यक्रम समाप्त हुआ

International Women's Day is celebrated every year on 8th March. On this day we pay tribute to the dedication and perseverance of women.
On this occasion, on 7 March 2020, Solan Public School organized a special assembly in the school premises in which the teachers emphasised and explained the importance of Women's Day and women's participation in society. The students of the school presented poems and dances on Women's Day theme. A painting competition was organized in the school on the theme of “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao”. The Managing Director Ms Preeti Kumar said that to have all-round social development girl child should be given all rights similar to the boys and encourage them to move forward in every field by eliminating gender discrimination.Women have infinite power and capabilities. School Principal Ms. Kiran Sharma said that women in every field have achieved success on the basis of their unique courage and tireless hard work and made their contribution in building the nation.

Press Report First Day at Solan Public School.
Solan Public School organized a beautiful event to welcome its students for the session 2020-21 in the form of “Agaaz 2020”. The program had students from all gradespresenting different performance arts such as song, dance and poetry recitals. The highlight of the event was the ramp walk by all the students. Master Prajas Banal of grade IV was chosen as Prince SPS and Ms. Angel Thakur of grade VII was chosen as Princess SPS. The students were also seen being Master of Ceremony on the stage as the school believes in exposing the students to different facets of responsibilities in school life. The school Managing Director Ms. Preetee Kumar congratulated the winners and welcomed the students into the new session and encouraged them to become an all-rounder. Ms. Kiran Sharma the school headmistress motivated the students to aim for the stars and give their best and ensured them that the teachers and staff of Solan Public School was fully behind them to support them. Educational consultant of the school Ms. Anjali Razdan also interacted with the parents and students. An XSEED curriculum workshop was also organized for the parents along with the meet and greet so the parents could get familiar with the school and track the progress of the students. सोलन पब्लिक स्कूल में शैक्षणिक सत्र-2020-21 के नए नामांकन प्राप्त छात्रों के लिए फ्रेशर डे मनाया गया । साथ ही अभिभावकों की सुविधा के लिए स्कूल प्रबंध द्वारा एक 'मीट एंड ग्रीट सत्र ' की व्यवस्था की गई थी। मीट एंड ग्रीट सत्र में माता-पिता और शिक्षकों ने नए शैक्षणिक वर्ष में छात्रों की शैक्षणिक आवश्यकताओ पर चर्चा की । कार्यक्रम का शुभारंभ विद्यालय की उपाध्यक्षा श्रीमती प्रीति कुमार व शिक्षा सलाहकार श्री मति अंजलि राजदान व प्रधानाचार्या श्रीमती किरन शर्मा व हेड इंजीनियर श्री अतुल ने किया। उपाध्यक्षा श्रीमती प्रीति कुमार ने कहा कि विद्यालय का मुख्य लक्ष्य बच्चों को सही शिक्षा देना है। अच्छी शिक्षा प्राप्त कर ही ये कुछ अच्छा कर सकते हैं। शिक्षा सलाहकार श्री मति अंजलि राजदान ने बताया कि केवल पुस्तक ज्ञान द्वारा उन्नति नहीं मिलती। शिक्षा मे उन्नति लाने के लिए सर्वांगीण विकास होना जरूरी है । प्रधानाचार्य, श्रीमती शर्मा ने बच्चों के उम्मीदों खरा उतरने का वादा करने के साथ बच्चों के स्वस्थ व उज्जवल भविष्य की कामना करते हुए उन्हें बधाई दी। मौके पर विद्यालय के पूर्व छात्रों ने रंगारंग कार्यक्रम की प्रस्तुत किया। जिसमें गायन, नृत्य, कविता की प्रस्तुति की। बच्चों ने रंगारंग प्रस्तुति दे कर सभी का मन मोह लिया । इन कार्यक्रम के माध्यम से बच्चों ने अपने अंदर छुपी हुई प्रतिभा का परिचय दिया।पूर्व छात्रों ने नए छात्रों का स्वागत किया तथा उन्हें अपने विद्यालय परिवार के साथ जुड़ने के लिए धन्यवाद दिया। फ्रेशर डे में प्रिंस ऑफ एस०पी ०एस प्राजस बनाल बने तथा प्रिंसेस ऑफ एस oपी oएस एंजेल बनी । इस मौके पर एक्सीड करिकुलम द्वारा अभिभावकों को प्रशिक्षण दिया गया। मौके पर स्कूल के सभी शिक्षक व शिक्षिकाएं मौजूद थीं ।
